Remsen Man Arrested Following Fraud Complaint
A Remsen man has been arrested following an investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office into a reported fraud complaint.
24-year old Zachary Williamson was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.
Investigators say Williamson allegedly stole numerous checks from his employer, forged his employers name on the checks and cashed the checks at several locations in Oneida and Madison Counties.
Williamson is being held in the County jail without bail.
The case will be turned over to the District Attorney's Office for grand jury consideration.
