NORTH HUDSON, N.Y. (AP) — Campers can now reserve sites at New York's new Frontier Town state campground in the eastern Adirondacks.

The campground is part of a new "Gateway to the Adirondacks" at Exit 29 of the Northway in the town of North Hudson. Its 91 sites include 33 campsites for horseback riders, an RV area and 45 tent sites.

The site was a wild west theme park called Frontier Town for more than 40 years until it closed in the 1990s. The state is spending nearly $20 million bringing it back to life.

The campground includes a day-use area on the shoreline of the Schroon River.

Reservations can be made online through the ReserveAmerica system.
