
Rome Deli Owner Arrested On Drug Charges
A local deli owner is accused of serving more than just sandwiches.
Rome Police executed a search warrant at MIchael's Market and Deli on East Dominick Street, where they allegedly found cocaine, marijuana, a digital scale and packaging materials.
An undisclosed amount of cash was also seized.
The deli owner, Michael Stevens, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Stevens was arraigned in Rome City Court and bail was set at $15,000.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit assisted in the search.
