A Rome man has been arrested for possessing stolen property.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, the arrest stems from an investigation into an incident in November of 2018.

Authorities say, a resident in the Town of Westmoreland made a complaint that someone had broken into their home and stole cash and jewlery from within.

Following a lengthy investigation it was determined that 28-year-old Kerry Wyley Jr. of Rome was allegedly in possession of the stolen jewlery at two Pawn Shops in Utica, where he sold the items for money.

Following his arrest, Wyley Jr. was arraigned in Utica City Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail.
