A traffic stop on Route 26 in Rome has led to the arrest of a Rome man on drug and weapons charges.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 35-year old Charles Bole III was pulled over for using a cellphone without a hands-free device.

Deputies allegedly found two unloaded semi-automatic rifles that are illegal to possess in New York.

They say Bole was also in possession of the controlled substances Adderall and Tramadol.

Bole is also facing numerous vehicle and traffic violations.
