Rome Woman Injured After Crashing Into Grande’s Pizza

A Rome woman suffered minor injuries as a result of a car-building accident on Pinnacle Road in Sauquoit.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a 2015 Prius being driven by Barbara Riley struck the side of Grande's Pizza.

Authorities say, Riley stated she backed out of a parking spot and put the car in drive when it suddenly lunged forward and side-swiped the outside wall of the pizzeria.

The building sustained minor exterior damage and a passenger in the car was treated at the scene for her injuries.

Riley and another passenger were uninjured.
