Sauquoit Actress, Allie Kiesel Cast in FOX’s “A Christmas Story” Live

The family of Allie Kiesel, 12, has confirmed that she has been cast in the live television presentation of A Christmas Story, which will air live on the FOX Television Network on December 17th.

According to Allie's mother Chris Kiesel, "We are finally told that Allie can reveal that she has been cast in A Christmas Story Live on Fox!"  Last year, Kiesel was cast in the Broadway tour of A Christmas Story, the Musical and she gave her first performance on the stage at the Stanley Theatre in Utica.

"She's so incredibly talented and so down to earth and such a sweet girl and comes from such a great family," said Derek Clark of Broadway Utica.  "We're so excited for her."

The live adaptation of the Christmas classic will also feature Mathew Broderick and Maya Rudolph.  11-year-old Andy Walken of Seattle was announced for the role of Ralphie last month.  Kiesel could not say yet which role her daughter was cast to play and that additional news will be coming soon.
