Senator Charles Schumer is calling on CSX to work with Madison County officials to come up with a plan that will allow for the county's planned reconstruction of the North Court Street Bridge to get underway.

Schumer says the state red-flagged the bridge as one in need of critical repair.

However, CSX runs a rail line underneath the bridge, forcing the county to halt planned construction due to the company's request that right-of-way controls be added to the construction plan.

Schumer says it's critical that CSX work with Madison County officials because any further delay could force the county to permanently close the bridge
