Search Resumes This Morning For Man Missing From Delta Lake Near Rome [UPDATE}
The search is on for a man missing after boating on Delta Lake in Rome. His pontoon boat was found empty last night.
The boat was called in by a lakeside resident who said that the boat washed ashore behind her home.
Authorities discovered that the boat belonged to a 62-year old man who was last seen by his family earlier in the day and had since gone missing.
The search, which began after 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 was concluded at 11:00 because of darkness and concern about the safety of the searchers.

Oneida County Sheriff's Marine Patrol Office, Town of Western and Delta Fire Departments are resuming the search Wednesday morning.
UPDATE 6/26 1:07 pm- The search for a missing boater on Lake Delta in Rome is continuing.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has identified the man as 62-year old Arthur Carney of Rome.
His pontoon boat was found washed ashore early last night.
Members of the State Parks Police, State Police and the Lake Delta and Westernville Departments are helping in the search effort.
Anyone who was boating on Lake Delta yesterday afternoon and may have seen Carney operating the boat or the craft unoccupied is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 736-8364..
