Senators Prevent Shady Sunscreen Labels From Blinding Consumers

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are joining forces to make certain that consumers are not blinded by misleading sunscreen labels.

The FDA has announced that it is giving sunscreen makers an additional six months to make label changes.

The senators argue that extra time is not necessary and just gives companies one more summer to keep consumers in the dark about the true protection and effectiveness of their products.
