Serious Accident Under Investigation In Madison County [UPDATED]

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious accident that happened early this morning on Old State Road in the Town of Nelson.

UPDATED 12:52 pm - The identities of the three victims of this morning’s serious motor vehicle accident on Old State Road are being released at this time.  They are Cody Warner, 19, of Morrisville; Cory Lyrek, 26, or Erieville; and Cameron  Thompson, 19, of Cazenovia.

No other details are being released at this time as the investigation is still underway.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious accident that happened early this morning on Old State Road in the Town of Nelson.

Three victims were taken to a Syracuse hospital in critical condition.

Officials say attempts to transport two of the victims by helicopter were unsuccessful due to weather conditions.

Old State Road will remain closed until later this morning as the investigation continues, between Stearns Road and Hall Road.

More information, including the victim's identities, will be released later today.
