Sheriff’s Office To Hold Open House And Job Fair

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office will be holding an Open House and Job Fair on Monday, July 29th from 2:00 to 7:00 at the Oneida County Jail.

Individuals interested in a career as a Correction Officer can get a tour of the correctional facility, meet with correction officers and get an application to sign up for the upcoming civil service exam.

Applications to take the exam must be submitted by August 9th. The exam will be given on September 28th.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of appointment, they must possess a high school diploma or equivalency, and be a resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, or Otsego counties.
