Sheriff’s Office To Provide Safety Tape To The Amish
In an effort to improve safety on the roads, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office will be providing reflective safety tape to the Amish.
Sheriff Rob Maciol says the Sheriff's Office Community Affairs Unit will be meeting with members of Amish communities throughout the county over the next several weeks to educate them on highway safety matters.
Maciol says the Sheriff's Office will also give them reflective tape to use on the rear of their buggies to enhance the safety of everyone on the road.
The safety tape was provided by the New York State Sheriff's Association and the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.
