Update: 8:30 a.m. - According to its website, National Grid has restored power to much of Blossvale. The number of people in Oneida County still without power is under 400. However, the estimated restoration time for those customers has been moved back from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Meanwhile in Herkimer County there are still about 60 customers without power. Their ERT has been pushed back from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Original post - 6:44 a.m. Approximately 1,600 National Grid customers in Oneida and Herkimer Counties were without power to begin Memorial Day Weekend on Friday.

According to the utility's outage map, more than 1,500 were in the dark in Oneida County - primarily in areas like Camden, Blossvale and Lee. Estimated restoration time in Oneida County by noon today.

The hardest hit area, according to the outage map, was Blossvale were over a thousand customers were in the dark.

Meanwhile, another 60 customers were effected by the outage in Herkimer County - where the estimated restoration time is 10:00 this morning.
