St. Elizabeth Medical Center Holds Disaster Exercise

St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the Heritage Health Care Center joined forces today to conduct a joint disaster exercise.

An "explosion" was simulated at Heritage, with multiple trauma patients transported to the hospital for treatment

Paul Campbell is the Trauma and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at St. E's.

Campbell says the exercise will allow the hospital to fine tune its emergency preparedness plan.

Local EMS providers also took part in today's exercise.
