St. Johnsville Man Accused Of Stealing From Home Improvement Stores in Oneida County, Capital Region

A St. Johnsville man is accused of stealing from several home improvement stores in Oneida County and the Capital region.

New Hartford Police say 47-year-old Michael Peterson is currently facing felony charges of grand larceny, falsifying business records and scheme to defraud. This after NHPD had received a complaint from a local home improvement store about merchandise being stolen from several of their locations in Oneida County.

Police say their investigation shows Peterson was not only involved in thefts locally, but also in the Capital Region.

Peterson is being held in the Oneida County jail without bail, police said.
