State Corrections Officer Charged

Lee Center, NY (WIBX) - A State Department of Corrections Officer has been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, 46-year old Stephen Palmer of Lee Center sent indecent material to a minor via electronic communications.

During the investigation, it was also found that Palmer allegedly provided alcohol and smoked marijuana with the child and others during a separate, non-related incident.

The investigation is continuing.
