State Police Looking For Driver Of Stolen Vehicle From Rome
New York State Police are looking for the public's help in identifying a driver who fled from a stolen vehicle in the Village of Ilion.
Officials say, State Police attempted to stop a Toyota Camry for a traffic violation. The vehicle continued down several streets and eventually hit a curb, became airborne and landed in a yard on Shull Street. Both the driver and passenger fled on foot.
The passenger who was identified as 25-year-old Trequan Spratt of Utica, was found hiding behind a residence and arrested on several charges. He was also wanted by Utica Police on Kidnapping and Gang Assault charges.
State Police are still looking for the driver of the Camry, which was reported stolen from an address on Henry Street in Rome.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'9" to 6'0" tall, wearing dark clothing, and last seen fleeing from 16 Shull Street. If you have any information on the case, please contact State Police.
