SOLVAY, N.Y. (AP) — A high school in suburban Syracuse has been placed under lockdown in what is being described as a precautionary measure.

Solvay High School was placed under lockdown Monday morning.

Solvay Police said it was a precautionary measure and that there was no immediate threat to students or staff in the building west of Syracuse.

Authorities did not release any other information about the lockdown.
