Syracuse University is atop one of the nation's latest polls, but it's not one of the college hoops Top 25 lists.

The Princeton Review's web site releases annual rankings in a wide array of categories, including academics, admission, politics, campus life, partying and extracurriculars, among others.

'Cuse has this year's dubious distinction - or maybe not according to some - as the nation's top party school, out-partying the University of Iowa, ranked second, and the University of California - Santa Barbara, third, according to this year's rankings.

The Orange are fourth under the 'Lots of Beer' category. On the bright side, they're listed second in ranking of its college newspaper, fifth for its radio station and 15th for the most popular study abroad program.

Another area college making the grade, if you will, in the partying category is Ithaca College, which is listed as No. 5 in the category 'Reefer Madness.' Ithaca is also second for Best Radio Station and sixth for Best Theater.

Colgate has the most beautiful campus in the country, the review says, and is No. 4 under the 'Lots of Hard Liquor' colum, while their library is rated 14th. While not too far away, Hamilton College is ranked 11th for the accessibility of faculty - and, they're number 15 for Lots of Beer.

Cornell is third in two categories: Best Campus Food and Best College Newspaper.

SUNY Binghamton is listed ninth in the category 'Financial Aid Not So Great', and are No. 19 in 'Least Beautiful Campus' list.

You can find information on other local schools like SUNY IT and Utica College, however they're not listed in the any of this year's best-of...or worst-of, categories.
