Fourteen people have been assisted by the Mohawk Valley Chapter of The American Red Cross following two separate house fires in Utica.

The American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley and the Salvation Army each received checks for nearly $21,000 from the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area on Monday.
