PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (AP) — The handlers for groundhog Punxsutawney Phil say he's forecasting six more weeks of what already has felt like a brutally long and cold winter.
The official first day of spring may have been earlier this week, but one prosecutor in Ohio thinks that winter has gone on far too long—and he blames a certain prognosticatory rodent.
No shadow today for Punxsutawney Phil. That means spring will arrive early, or so his handler, Bob Roberts, claims. Of course they both have tradition and folklore on their side.
