LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 4,400-pound explosive punch has turned a Las Vegas hotel into a pile of rubble.

UPDATE: 03/02/2014  Authorities say the Department of Transportation, along with the implosion contractor, were able to expedite the minor repair needed to reopen the Route 5-8-12 southbound lanes.  The southbound lanes should be open to traffic by 6:00pm tonight.

Residents and business owners who were evacuated from the Fay Street Warehouse Implosion area may now return home.
