WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence says he's "100 percent confident" that no one on his staff was involved with the anonymous New York Times column criticizing President Donald Trump's leadership.

President Trump's administration is not in the midst of a constitutional crisis; "but, it's close," according to Utica College Professor Luke Perry. Perry's comments on WIBX's Keeler Show come amid accusations made in a New York Times Op-Ed on Wednesday by a reported Trump senior White House official, claiming there's an entire circle of senior administration officials who "are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations." The essay, published in rare form by the NY Times to protect the author's anonymity, went on to say, "we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic."

Pushing back against explosive reports his own administration is conspiring against him, President Donald Trump lashed out against the anonymous senior official who wrote a New York Times opinion piece claiming to be part of a "resistance" working "from within" to thwart his most dangerous impulses.
