Man Shot In Utica
UPDATE 7:26 p.m.: The man has been identified as Kenneth Loope, 79, of Palm Bay, Florida.
Officials say Loope threw his jacket on top of the gun while it was on a dresser, causing it to shoot a bullet, hitting him in the abdomen.
Loope legally possessed the gun and no charges are expected...
