WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department says George Zimmerman will not face federal civil rights charges in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
George Zimmerman was taken into custody on Monday afternoon in Lake Mary, Florida, after his wife, Shellie, told police he had pulled a gun on her. Zimmerman has not been charged with a crime at this time and is being held in investigative detention.
George Zimmerman -- yes the same Florida neighborhood watchman acquitted in the Trayvon Martin murder trial -- was pulled over for speeding on a highway near Dallas, Texas.
