Teeny Tiny Leopard Cubs Will Melt Away All Your Sadness
What's better than one adorable baby leopard? Two? Three? Try four!
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, in Tacoma, Wash., welcomed four clouded leopard cubs last week and have put together this sweet video to show you the little -- and we do mean little -- critters in action.
The zoo says each cub weighs roughly the size of a box of Corn Flakes. That's in the neighborhood of 12 ounces.
All births are miracles, but this quarter is extra special, according to zoo biologist Andy Goldfarb:
These cats are precious. Clouded leopards are endangered, and there is constant pressure on the species from poaching, habitat loss, and other human-animal conflict."
The cubs are not yet available for public viewing, although the zoo plans to let visitors see them at some point.
