Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi took part in a Candidates Forum today hosted by the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, with both sides claiming victory.

Tenney's campaign says she scored a "decisive victory" in the debate.

Campaign Manager Raychel Renna says despite Brindisi's canned talking points and nasty rehearsed attacks throughout the forum, Tenney successfully contrasted her record as a small business person, delivering results on jobs and lowering taxes.

Brindisi's campaign says he emerged as the clear winner of the debate, engaged with the real issues facing the district and answering every question.

Tenney and Brindisi are scheduled to square off in two upcoming debates with the Broome County League of Women Voters and Spectrum News.
