With the Utica Salvation Army Thrift Store on Lafayette Street set to close on June 15th, the Parkway Center is reminding residents that there's another thrift store located in downtown Utica.

The New 2 U Thrift Store is located at 726 Washington Street next to the Central New York Veterans' Outreach Center.

The thrift store is a partnership between the Vet's Center and the Parkway Center

All of the proceeds are split between the two organizations to support their programs and services.

The thrift store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 3:00 and has a variety of items for sale, including men's, women's and children's clothing.

If you have any questions about the thrift store, or would like to make a donation to the store, please call Kari Johnson at the Parkway Center at (315) 223-3973 ext. 117.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store, which is located in the footprint of the new downtown hospital, has accepted a purchase offer from Mohawk Valley Health System.
