Thomas DiNapoli May Be Bringing Money to Your Town
New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli may be giving money back to you. Once again staff members from DiNapoli's office will be hosting events to help you get back money you may have lost.
DiNapoli says, "I encourage everyone to come out and search for money that may be waiting for them. We return more than $1.5 million a day to residents across the state, but we want to do more. It’s your money, we want to give it back."
Where does this money come from? Many people have money left in old bank accounts, utility deposits or uncashed checks. DiNapoli's office says some of the funds go back into the 1940s. The Comptroller's office picked two great local events to make this opportunity available.
Staff members will be in Herkimer County at The Great American Irish Festival at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds July 28th through July 30th. They will be in Oneida County at The Boilermaker Health and Wellness Expo on July 7th and 8th.
Don't let your lost money be gone forever. Stop by and see if you have cash coming to you.
