Three Charged With Grand Larceny in Theft from JC Penney

Three people were arrested following a reported larceny at the JC Penney in the Sangertown Mall.

New Hartford Police say 27-year old Tony Maggio, Junior, 33-year old Brittany Olds and 48-year old Melissa Ann Lyons, all of Utica, acted together to allegedly steal over $1,300 worth of clothing.

An investigation revealed the three also stole additional clothing that was recovered from a vehicle in the mall parking lot.

Lyons was an employee of JC Penney.

Police say the total value of the stolen clothing was nearly $2,900.

Maggio, Olds and Lyons were charged with grand larceny.

Police say additional charges may be pending.
