UPDATE: June 8, 2013 8:14pm The owner has arrived at Fairway Farms and is taking the horses home.

Three horses are being cared for at a local farm while sheriffs look for their owner.

Two geldings and a mare, thought to be a Chestnut, Appaloosa, and Gray, have been found near Cooper Street and Day Road.

Julie and Russell Young of Fairway Farms are taking care of them  The Youngs own a farm for show horses and are helping authorities by housing the homeless horses until their owner can be located.

Mohawk Valley Pet Lost and Found is helping with the search.

The owner or owner will need to present proof that the horses belong to them before they are released.
