Two Rome School District buses were involved in separate accidents Tuesday morning that happened about 15 minutes apart and slippery road conditions are being blamed.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office say 57-year old Scott Libby of Rome lost control of his bus at the intersection of Route 46 and Townline Road in Western while making a turn and the rear of the bus went into a ditch.

Thirteen students were on board at the time

Deputies say 26-year old Michael Smith lost control of his Birnie Bus on Oswego Road and drove the bus into a ditch

Smith, a bus monitor and three students were on the bus.

No one was injured in either incident and no tickets have been issued.
