It was a busy evening for the UPD. They're investigating two shootings that occurred within minutes of each other just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to Lt. Bryan Coromato, units responded to the 1100 block of St. Vincent Street regarding a shots fired incident, which included a 19-year-old gunshot victim. He was treated at the scene and is in serious condition at St. Elizabeth's.

Shortly after that call, officers were then called to the 1000 block of Young Place to respond to another incident involving a 19-year-old gunshot wound victim. He also was treated at the scene by Utica Fire EMS and transported to St. Elizabeth's.

The investigation into these two incidents is ongoing and it can't be confirmed at this time that the two incidents are related.
