He is innocent until proven guilty, but that is not stopping several organizations from taking formal steps to sever their ties to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Workers at the University of Florida removed a brick that honored Hernandez on "Gator Walk" outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this week.

Hernandez, who is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, has sparked a debate within the sports world about whether to screen potential team members by analyzing their tattoos for possible ties to gangs.
