ORLEANS, N.Y. (AP) — Police say an upstate New York woman is dead after a utility vehicle rolled back and pinned her under its wheels.

The accident happened Saturday in the town of Orleans near the Canadian border.

State police say 73-year-old Sylvia Carter was unloading a pressure washer from the bed of a utility vehicle when it rolled back and pinned her underneath.

Troopers arrived and pushed the vehicle off the victim, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
