Utica, NY (WIBX) - Local film maker Michael Patrei has done it again, as the Uptown Theatre hosts the premiere of his film, "Falling Frames."

Patrei, the movie's director and lead actor, describes the movie.

"The basic idea behind 'Falling Frames' is the director of the movie, played by myself, gets kidnapped by one of the characters in the movie because the character has a terrible life and wants the director to basically write him a happy ending," Patrei said.

Patrei says he used local talent and locations. He also used music supplied by The Gifted Children, a Rochester-based indie band.

"There's actually a lot of extremely talented people here and a lot of really talented actors," Patrei said.

"Falling Frames" premieres Saturday night, at 8. Tickets are five dollars and can be purchased at the Uptown Theatre. DVDs, sound tracks and photo books will also be for sale.
