Utica Man Accused Of Hitting Child

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is facing charges following a domestic incident on Kellogg Avenue.

Utica Police say 46-year old Howard Zinke allegedly became upset with his 9-year old nephew and hit the child in the face, causing his face to swell and bruise.

Zinke was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

The boy's father told police it wasn't the first time Zinke had hit his child.

A relative who witnessed the incident said the boy and his uncle got into an argument over a bag of potato chips.
