
Utica Man Arrested for Armed Robbery at PetSmart in New Hartford
New Hartford Police have arrested a Utica man for an alleged armed robbery at the PetSmart in Consumer Square.
An investigation by police revealed that 27-year-old Julio Ramos-Perez held a cashier at the pet store at knife point and demanded money. He then left the store with approximately $275.
Later, police discovered Perez to be in possession of the money, the clothes he was wearing during the robbery, and drug paraphernalia in a backpack.
Perez has been charged with Robbery, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and other charges. He was remanded to the Oneida County Jail.
