Utica Murder Suspect To Appear In Court

The suspect in the June 28th homicide of Deon Williams of Utica will be arraigned in Oneida County Court on Wednesday.

Utica Police say 35-year old Omar Ortiz will be making his first court appearance in Oneida County relative to the charges and indictment levied here.

Ortiz has been held in the Erie County, Pennsylvania Correctional Facility since his arrest on June 30th.

Police say while in Pennsylvania, Ortiz allegedly committed other felony crimes.
