
Utica Police Attempt To Save Emotionally Disturbed Person With A Handgun
Utica Police were called to the area of William and State Streets late Thursday night for reports of an emotionally disturbed person armed with a handgun.
When they arrived the individual was a holding the handgun to their head.
Officers attempted crisis intervention to intervene with the individual to drop the firearm, but regrettably the person committed a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The individual was transported to St. Elizabeth's where they ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
