Vernon Man Arrested Following Multiple Accidents

A Vernon Center man has been arrested on several charges following accidents in Oneida County where he allegedly left the scene.

43-year old Ronald Orr is facing charges including DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says Orr struck a telephone pole on South James Street in Rome and was involved in an accident on Route 26 in Vernon that caused property damage.

Orr is also accused of nearly running a motorist off the road on Potash Road in Vernon.

The Sheriff's Office is thanking members of the public who came forward with information that led to Orr's arrest.
