The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the cause of a fatal motorcycle accident.

According to Sheriff Rob Maciol, at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning deputies were called to the scene of an accident in the area of Oneida Street near Holmes Marina in Verona Beach.

Upon arrival they discovered the driver of a black 1995 Kawasaki motorcycle had exited the shoulder of the road and was ejected from his motorcycle. The driver was 41-year-old Ronald McEathron of Verona Beach. As a result of his injuries McEathron was killed.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police and members of Sylvan Beach Fire Department and Rescue on scene.
