Verona Man Arrested For Possessing Brass Knuckles After Traffic Stop
A Verona man is facing a weapon charge following a traffic stop in Rome.
According to The Oneida County Sheriff's Office, they pulled a vehicle over Sunday morning at approximately 1:30 on Erie Boulevard for not having headlights on.
Deputies say, 37-year-old Jay Mather of Verona was a passenger in the vehicle and during the traffic stop was found to be in possession of metal knuckles.
As a result, Mr. Mather was arrested and charged with Felony Criminal Possession of Weapon and was turned over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment.
