Former Utica mayoral candidate Bob Cardillo announced on WIBX's Keeler Show that he's running for office this spring. Which job is he vying for?

Utica School Board.

Eight years ago, Cardillo ran as a Republican candidate for Mayor. It was the election that made Rob Palmieri Utica's Democratic mayor. During the interview, Cardillo refused to get into the political tug off war between Palmieri and his challenger, Joe Marino.

Over the years, Cardillo has worked for the Bush administration, Homeland Security and former U.S, Congressman Donald Mitchell. He's currently a political science adjunct professor at Mohawk Valley Community College.
