More than a quarter of a million votes have been cast in an online campaign designed to get a woman's face on the U.S. twenty dollar bill.

The final candidates are Wilma Mankiller, Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Harriet Tubman.

On the group's website Women On 20's says, "We believe this simple, symbolic and long-overdue change could be an important stepping stone for other initiatives promoting gender equality."

The goal, they say, is to prepare a new bill to be ready in time for the one hundredth anniversary of women's right to vote, marked by ratification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution on August 18, 1920.

The video revealing the four finalists was produced by Charlie Chalkin Productions with artwork by Nina Dine for womenon20s.org.

There is still time to vote.  Online ballots can be completed at: http://www.womenon20s.org/vote2.
