The New York Mets will wear a special patch on the sleeve of their jersey's this season to honor former MLB slugger and the team's longtime broadcaster Ralph Kiner.

Kiner passed away in February at the age of 91.

The Mets official twitter page sent out this photo of a jersey with the microphone patch:

Kiner was a slugging third baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates in his playing days, but will always be loved by Mets fans for years in the broadcast booth at Shea Stadium.
