3 Upstate NY Colleges Make Princeton Review’s Top Party List
The 60th annual Top 20 Party Colleges list is out from the Princeton Review, and three higher education institutions in the region have made the grade.
Each year, the publication lists the 384 best colleges in the country and then polls students on various topics, including partying. The party list is "based on student ratings concerning the use of alcohol and drugs at their school, the number of hours they study each day outside of class time, and the popularity of fraternities/sororities at their school," according to the publication.
Syracuse University ranked highest on the list, checking in this year at #4. The Princeton Review describes life in Syracuse “always electric, with something going on at all times.” Back in 2014, Syracuse topped the list of partying schools, much to the dismay of school officials.
Colgate University ranked 9th in this year's poll. Union College in Schenectady placed at the number 15 spot. University of Delaware topped this year's list.
