Utica Woman Arrested On Child Endangerment Charge

A Utica woman was arrested after Herkimer Police officers found a six-year old child they say was living in deplorable and extremely unsafe conditions.

22-year old Kala Williams is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police were conducting an unrelated investigation at 446 North Prospect Street when they discovered the child.

The incident was reported to the State Central Registry for Child Abuse.
