A 9-year-old boy was injured in a snowmobile accident in the Town of Lee. According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol the incident occurred in the area of Golly Road.

He was ejected over the handlebars, and came to rest next to the sled. During the time of the incident the driver was on private property.

Excessive speed was not a factor in this accident, proper safety gear, and approved helmet were worn to help prevent head injuries. During the time of the ride, the 9-year-old boy was being supervised by parents.

The 9 year old was transported by AmCare Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for evaluation of an upper arm injury. The accident is still under investigation, and no tickets have been issued at this time. Assisting at the scene were volunteers from Lee Fire Department.
